While Boothbay Harbor Police Officer Rich Mirabile was on a call to Signal Point, Tuesday, October 28, he saw something that he had never seen before.
“I had just been on a call at Signal Point, and when I went out toward the marina to turn around, I saw floats going out toward the ocean. I knew that they gather docks in that area for the winter, but it looked rather unusual.
“When I got closer, I saw what appeared to be like rapids, going out to sea, like a rushing river.
